Dr. Sergio Hinojosa discovered dentistry while volunteering at a free dental veteran’s clinic. He realized how much he could help the community by pursuing dentistry. Born in Latin America then immigrating to the United at the age of fourteen, he attended Rancho High School’s medical program in northern Las Vegas. He later attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas’s School of Dental Medicine and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine. After graduation, he continued his education with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry as well as the Global Academy of Osseointegration. He completed over 30 complex implant cases during this specialized training.
Dr Hinojosa sympathizes with those that have a deep fear towards dentistry and ensures to talk each patient through their individualized treatment plans. He is passionate about improving patients' smiles, offering different options including clear aligners, veneers, and fillings. He finds dentistry rewarding because he is able to listen and create the best smile for each patient.
Dr Hinojosa currently volunteers with TZU Chi organization which helps the underserved community in Las Vegas. During his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife and newborn son.
"My approach is conservative, yet I treat each patient as if they were part of my family."
Dentistry is the perfect mix of finding solutions, improving health, and helping people smile! My team and I strive to ensure that we deliver the best oral care possible. My approach is conservative, yet I treat each patient as if they were a part of my family.
Through continued education and years of experience, I see more clearly the value of good health and strive to help each of my patients achieve their optimum vitality. Through the many procedures and exams completed, the knowledge that oral health greatly affects overall health keeps me motivated.
For nearly 30 years, my amazing team and I have strived to provide dental care in a warm, welcoming environment, using innovative techniques and technologies. It has been rewarding to share in the lives of our patients. I consider these friendships some of the richest joys of my career! I am grateful for the trust my patients place in me and my team.
Dr. Jesse Gridley was born and raised in Minnesota. At 15 years old he started college as a pre-med major because his grandfather was a doctor. However, while working as an EMT, emergency room doctors talked him out of going to medical school. In his 20s, Dr. Gridley traveled to China to pursue his interests in traditional Chinese medicine. He ended up enjoying language learning, and after two years of living in China, spent an additional 3 1/2 years living and teaching English in Japan. While in Japan, Dr. Gridley's sister married a dentist back in Minnesota. While talking with him, Dr. Gridley found that dentistry seemed to have everything he was looking for, without the drawbacks he'd been warned about in medicine. He returned to the U.S. and entered dental school at OHSU in Portland where he was also selected to participate in advanced courses in perio and oral surgery. After graduating, Dr. Gridley worked in both public health and private practices, with extensive training in CAD/CAM, aesthetics and implantology, even teaching CAD/CAM to the instructors at his alma mater at OHSU. He is now relocated to Nevada from Oregon and is excited to be joining a practice as committed to excellence as Hillside Dental. In his free time, Dr. Gridley enjoys Tai Chi, Iaido, computer games, and the occasional D&D session.
